National Television Awards vote is open

The shortlist for this year’s National Television Awards is open and you can now show your support for your favourites until 25 January 2012.

Most Popular Serial Drama

EastEnders is up Most Popular Serial Drama. And it has been one hell of a year in Albert Square. With Pat’s death, the Masoods and the Boxing Day fire, Phil’s stalker, Tanya’s cancer ordeal, Max’s return, Derek’s arrival and more… It would all make you hanker after a quiet week in the Cotswolds if you weren’t glued to your screen…

Most Popular Newcomer

Jacqueline Jossa (Lauren Branning)  is up for Most Popular Newcomer. Lauren’s had quite a year, coping with her mum’s cancer alone and unsupported, keeping the secret from hersister and her nan when she most needed help. And now still coping alone, as Max takes on the role of supporting Tanya, leaving Lauren bereft and lost – and dangerously close to the edge from where we’re standing.

Outstanding Serial Drama Performance

Jessie Wallace (Kat Moon) is up for Outstanding Serial Drama Performance. It’s been a mixture of heartache and happiness for Kat this year. Thinking that she’d lost her baby, only to discover that Tommy had in fact been stolen by a grieving Ronnie on New Year’s Eve. Then the effort of rebuilding her life after that trauma. Meanwhile, her relationship with Alfie has been quietly crumbling. But she’s still managed to squeeze into her finest lycra, and hold it together behind the bar of the Queen Vic… What. A. Woman.

Don’t miss your chance to support the show and your favourite characters before 25th January.
